Hi everyone! I will start this page off by saying thank you to all that have sent me emails and posting in my forum and blog. I also want to thank those that have signed up for my newsletters too. Although this has been a slow start, things are starting to pick up now. I have added a government section, a work at home section and I am working on the tips page now too, as well as a few other things. In the next couple of months, there will be a lot more content and a lot more changes will be made as well. I have faith that all single fathers will come together and help one another. I am proud to be able to create a website community for single fathers. Together we can all make a difference and together we can all help each other - Thanks again, Bob

Hi Bill! That is wonderful to hear that you are a very dedicated father. I too am in the same situation. I am sure there are many of us that are in this situation as well. I have been raising my daughter for 4 years as well. I have had a couple of girl friends that didn't last very long over the years, a couple of dates that didn't go that well either. The biggest drawback of dating when we have young kids is that our kids don't understand what dating is. They think they will have an instant mom and then they get disappointed when they don't get one. I learned the hard way! One major advice I can give is to date someone for awhile before introducing your children to someone. Getting out and dating again is very difficult as well. I also have forgotten how to date again. It is almost easier to just not date and concentrate on our kids, I agree with you there. But, I also would like to meet someone and have a happy home. I have learned to just be myself, go out and socialize and to not expect anything, but to just have fun. If I am searching for someone, I end up with the wrong women. I also learned that going to a bar room is not the best place to find dates either. It is easier to take your child out to the library, the park, community events, etc. are places where you will find someone. Not to mention, you get to spend some quality time with your child, have fun and you might actually find someone with common interests too. I have started to do more of this and I am starting to meet new people. I moved to a small town in NC awhile ago and I don't really know anyone here. Since I have been going out in the community, I have met a lot of really great people. I am gun shy as far as dating goes, but I am finding a couple of possibilites! It is a casual way of meeting people and the first dating part becomes a lot easier. You have already met, talked and seen each other in your natural way! I hope this helps you a little bit and I hope it gives all of us some insight as well! Anyone else have any comments, ideas or suggestions about dating as a single father? Thanks - Bob

Hi all, I'm a single father, have raised my son by myself since he was 3 months old. He's 4 now, but the problem is I have maybe been out on two dates in the last four years. I'm a decent looking guy with a good job but have forgotten how to get out and meet women. There for a while it was easier just not to worry about it and focus on my son, but with him starting school next year and my demanding work schedule I'm starting to think about how nice it would be to meet someone. Anyone else in a similar situation? Thanks, Bill

Hi everyone! Just an update. I know that nothing much has happened with the web site or anything else for awhile now. I have had to put the web site on hold for a bit in order to make some money over the last couple of months. I apologize for this, but making a chunk of money so that I can concentrate full time on the site later is the smartest thing for me to do! I will be working on the site at the end of August full time! I have a lot of ideas and plans to implement. I am really hoping to get a lot of content and help available to everyone as soon as I can. I do need your help in telling me your ideas, suggestions, stories, tips, what you would like to see, any links to places that can offer help, etc. I need you to help me to help you and all other single fathers out there!!! Thanks - Bob

Hello everyone! I just finished my new design for the web site. The new design fixes the problems that many browsers were having the problem displaying. I still have so much to do, a lot of the pages aren't there yet. I have to redo a lot of them and create more of them. Hang in there and I will have this site looking great and chocked full of information and a lot of help. Also, if anyone has any ideas, tips, suggestions, stories, etc. that you would like to share, please email me so that I can put it on the site!! Hope you all enjoy - Bob

I have a few thoughts about your site that might help. Email me so we can talk. I tried going to your chat room but it's always empty. Also, if you have Yahoo Messenger, that might help too, as I can help quite a bit with ideas.
